Five children and their mother were killed in an early morning fire on Monday in Somali capital, Mogadishu.
The inferno reportedly broke out at about 3am local time in Yaqshid district.
Mohamed Abdullahi Tuleh, a local government officiala said the efforts to rescue failed as the victims were already trapped inside the house.
” We deployed firefighters but unfortunately the inferno was beyond control and engulfed the whole house leading the death of the mother and five children” said Tuleh.
The brave mother died while trying to rescue her kids.
It is not clear the cause of the fire.
